A cleaner, easier Impressive Slideshow editor

Creating a beautiful slideshow should feel simple. That is why we gave the Impressive Slideshow editor its biggest interface update in a long time.

This is more than a visual refresh. We reworked the editor to make it easier to navigate, easier to understand, and more comfortable to use when building more detailed slides.

Less clutter, smoother editing

The updated editor is cleaner and more focused, but the improvement is not only visual. The top bar now brings the most important actions together in one place, including adding elements, previewing the slide, zooming, undo and redo, and opening advanced tools. These controls stay available while you work, so you do not lose context in the middle of editing.

We also improved how the editor behaves during everyday tasks. Adding elements is more direct, preview feels more controlled, and working with elements outside the visible slide area is easier to understand. Video backgrounds no longer distract inside the editor and appear there as a static preview, while motion remains available in slide preview mode.

The result is a calmer workspace that feels easier to navigate and smoother to use.

A clearer structure for complex slides

One of the biggest improvements is how the editor now handles structure.

Before, visual hierarchy and animation flow were harder to scan quickly. Now, they are easier to understand at a glance.

Layers have been moved into a dedicated panel on the left side, making it faster to see everything on a slide, select the right object, change order, hide elements, or locate items on the canvas. This is especially helpful when a slide includes several text blocks, buttons, images, and decorative elements.

Animation order is now separated from layers, so composition and motion no longer compete with each other. You can manage what is on the slide and how it appears as two distinct tasks, which makes editing feel much more predictable.

Settings are easier to follow

We also reorganized the properties panel so settings feel more logical and easier to work through.

Instead of looking like one long list, the editor now presents controls in a clearer sequence based on the selected element. That makes it easier to move from basic adjustments to styling and then to more detailed options without feeling lost in the interface.

This is especially noticeable when working with text and background settings. The updated layout makes these controls easier to scan, easier to understand, and easier to use without unnecessary friction.

We also improved naming and labeling across the editor, so panels better reflect the selected object and the action you are taking.
